Health & Healing Start in the Mind

Welcome to a new chapter [ 5 minute Read ]

Everything is Always Working Out For You.

From my own healing journey, I’ve come to understand and believe that true health begins not just with what we eat, but with what’s on our mind. Early on, I was introduced to Louise Hay’s teachings. From her, I learned that every thought we think shapes our reality, and healing begins with self-love and unconditional kindness toward ourselves.

Our thoughts become our reality…

“ I love and approve of myself.”

How many of us have spent minutes, hours, or even days judging ourselves or others? Worrying about what others are thinking? If we actively observe our thoughts for even just a few minutes, it’s shocking to hear where our minds run off to… and our thoughts feed our behaviors, for better or worse.

When we intentionally shift our inner dialogue from judgment, fear, guilt, and shame to love, and when we choose trust (that everything is actually working out for us) in challenging moments, our body responds almost immediately.

Affirmations always seemed silly to me. I couldn’t understand how thinking or speaking a few words could affect my health. But after healing from cancer, I know these simple phrases are where healing begins.

During that time, for four hours each day I would (and still do) repeat things like
“I love and approve of myself,” “I am supported,” and “Everything is always working out for me.”

I’d practice these while going on a daily walk, lying in my infrared sauna blanket, or as I was falling asleep.

In moments when my mind ruminates over a fearful, angry, or judgmental thought, I repeat “I love myself” until all other thoughts are flooded out by that reminder of self-love. Sometimes this can give rest to a racing mind, other times I can move on completely.

Mantras and affirmations are energetic seeds that can rewire the way we relate to ourselves, and eventually, our thoughts create the world around us, down to our own biology.

Throughout our lives, we’re conditioned to think in ways that often pull us away from our true, authentic selves (more on that in the next post).

Science now supports what ancient wisdom already knew (surprise!). Dr. Bruce Lipton’s work in epigenetics shows us that our beliefs directly influence our biology, down to our cellular function.

Super new science is proving how frequencies can heal even the most serious diseases. For instance, sound can dissolve a tumor. Our cells respond to vibes, essentially. And our thoughts create our vibe.

The environment we create with our thoughts has the power to turn health-promoting genes on and off. That means choosing joy, rest, and gratitude isn’t just feel-good advice or “woo.” It’s literally the best medicine.

So when I say follow sun, soil, and spirit to find your new qi, I’m encouraging you to remember a powerful truth: You are nature, born from the highest of frequencies, deserving of joy and love no matter what. You already have everything you need, not just to feel well, but to thrive. You just need to remember how to activate your deep self-love and authenticity…and that all starts in the mind!

What can you do today to raise your frequency and tune into your authenticity?

  • First thing in the morning or before falling asleep, for 1–3 minutes, rest comfortably and observe your thoughts. Is your mind racing, worrying, or judging? Or are you at peace?
Do your best to simply observe, without trying to control or judge your thoughts. Take inventory of your baseline so you can begin to shift it—now, not years from now. Before opening your eyes, focus on your heart. Not just your “heart center,” but your physical heart. This will help reconnect you to a higher vibration if you're feeling low.
If you’re at peace, sit in gratitude and nurture the frequency that comes from inner peace.

  • Go for a walk in nature, for any amount of time. Try to connect with the environment. Get out in the sunshine with your feet on the ground, if possible.
If presence feels difficult, pause for a moment. Close your eyes. Take three deep inhalations (inhale for 6 seconds), and exhale for 8 seconds. Open your eyes gently and look to the sky, the trees, or even a flower—any natural element.
You’re training your body to remember where it came from and what it’s a part of. Walk mindfully, noticing each step.

  • Put on your favorite music and dance, even just for a couple of minutes. Moving stagnant energy through the body is a quick way to raise your vibration.
Imagine your body is filled with salt or sediment. As you dance, shake, and move, all the “crystals” of stuck energy shake loose, creating space for new energy to circulate through your cells.
You’ll feel physically and spiritually lighter. This is what it feels like to raise your frequency.

Thank you for being here with me. The next post will be be up in two weeks! In the meantime, let’s connect on Instagram, leave a comment or say hello!
